How to change the left sidebar icon or Doc Featured Image

To change the left sidebar icon in your documentation, there are two methods available. Each method offers different levels of customization and applies to specific areas of your site.

EazyDocs Settings (Global sidebar Icon Change):

The first method involves accessing the EazyDocs settings, which allows you to change the left sidebar icon globally across your entire website. This method is recommended if you want a consistent icon for all your doc posts.

To make this change:

1. Navigate to your website’s administration panel.
2. Look for the EazyDocs menu in the dashboard
3. Access the Doc Single within the EazyDocs settings.
4. In the Doc Single settings, locate the Left sidebar section.
5. Within this section, you’ll find two fields available for customization: the normal icon field and the open icon field.
6. Choose or upload the desired icons for both the normal and open states in their respective fields.
7. Save the changes in the EazyDocs settings.

The icons you have selected will now be displayed in the left sidebar of your doc posts throughout the entire site.

Featured Image Uploader (Specific Icon Change):

The second method lets you change the left sidebar icon for individual doc posts. This method offers more flexibility, allowing you to select unique icons for specific documents. Follow these steps to update the icon for a particular doc post:

1. Open the doc post editor in your website’s administration panel.
2. Locate the right sidebar and find the featured image uploader field.
3. In the uploader field, you will find an option specifically for uploading the left sidebar icon.
4. Choose the icon you want to use for this document and save the changes.
5. The selected icon will be displayed in the left sidebar of the corresponding doc post.
