How to Migrate from BetterDocs to EazyDocs

Migrating your documentation from BetterDocs to EazyDocs is a quick and simple process. Just follow the steps below:

Step 1: Install and Activate EazyDocs

• Go to your WordPress Dashboard
• Navigate to Plugins Add New
• Search for EazyDocs
• Click Install, then Activate the plugin.

Step 2: Start the Migration

• In the WordPress Dashboard, locate the EazyDocs icon in the sidebar menu.
• Hover over it and click on the Migration option.
• You’ll be taken to the Migration Setup page.
• Click Start Migration and confirm when prompted.

Note: The migration process usually takes less than a minute.

Step 3: Remove BetterDocs

• After successful migration, go to Plugins Installed Plugins
• Find BetterDocs, then click Deactivate.
• Once deactivated, click Delete to remove it completely.

📌 Read Before Migration

Before proceeding with the migration from BetterDocs to EazyDocs, please review the following important changes:

• All categories will be converted into parent Docs.
• All existing Docs will be organized as child Docs under those parent Docs.
• The URL structure will reflect the parent-child relationship (e.g. /docs/parent-doc/child-doc/).
• Your original category will be preserved as taxonomy terms.

Your documentation is now fully migrated to EazyDocs, and your site is ready to run with its modern, user-friendly features.

Note :
This tool is specifically for migrating documentation from BetterDocs to EazyDocs.
After the migration is complete, make sure to thoroughly review everything to ensure that all content has been correctly transferred and is displaying as expected.
Once you’ve confirmed that everything is working properly in EazyDocs, you can safely deactivate and Delete BetterDocs.
