Customize the solved topics

This document explains the “Solved Topics” feature within the BBP Core plugin for bbPress forums.

You can turn on/off the solved topics feature from the BBP Core plugin. The code will not load anymore, so the plugin speed will remain really good.

What is the Solved Topics Feature?

The Solved Topics feature allows forum moderators and users (with designated permissions) to mark discussions as resolved. This helps users easily identify topics with answered questions or completed discussions.

2. Marking a Topic as Solved:

There are two ways to mark a topic as solved:

• By Moderators: Moderators have full control over topic statuses. They can access the “Edit Topic” option for any discussion and check the box labeled “Solved” before saving.
• By Users (with Permissions): If your forum allows user-generated “Solved” flags, users will see a checkbox labeled similarly (“Mark as Solved” or similar wording) within the topic view. Checking this box and submitting the form will mark the topic as solved.

Visual Indicators

Once a topic is marked as solved, a badge or visual indicator (often the text “Solved”) will appear next to the topic title throughout the forum. This allows users to quickly identify resolved discussions.

• Customization: You may be able to customize the appearance of the “Solved” badge through BBP Core settings or themes with compatible options.
