We’ve replaced the old meta fields with the Codestar Framework (CSF). This change makes customizing and managing your site easier than ever, giving you more flexibility and a better overall experience.
You can now include videos on page banners! This feature helps make your pages more dynamic and visually engaging.
The Search Banner is now applied across all pages to keep your site looking uniform. This creates a cleaner and more consistent design.
If a page has a parent, you’ll see it displayed right above the main page title in the banner. This improves navigation and helps users understand where they are on your site.
Blog posts now include a last modified date, so readers can see when the content was last updated especially helpful for those regularly maintaining their posts.
A new title.php file has been added, giving you more control over how the search banner title looks and functions.
If you were using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Docy now automatically removes conflicting fields and groups created by ACF, ensuring everything runs smoothly with the new Codestar Framework fields.
The search form now supports unlimited post types, and you can choose which content types appear in the search results via a new option under Theme Settings Header Search Banner and then ‘Select Post Types to Include’.
We’ve improved the hover and active states for menu items, making navigation feel smoother and more intuitive.
The breadcrumb design and functionality have been updated to improve user navigation and deliver a cleaner look. Previously, breadcrumbs did not show the page title, which has now been fixed to enhance clarity. Additionally, for better navigation, steps like Cart > Checkout are now visible in the breadcrumb path on pages like the checkout page, which was missing earlier.
The Cart block and Checkout page designs have been updated to look cleaner and more user-friendly. The Grouped Product Details Page also got a design refresh to improve readability.
The sticky tab icons have been given a more modern and polished look.
Unnecessary meta fields have been removed to improve theme performance and keep things lightweight.
We’ve enhanced the comment form design to make it easier to use on mobile devices.
Badges across the theme have been updated to look cleaner and more professional.
Fixed an issue where the sidebar on single doc pages wasn’t displaying properly in mobile view.
Resolved a color issue with table headers on the WooCommerce cart page.
Fixed a stacking issue in the Hero focus area to make everything display correctly.
Resolved a PHP error that appeared in the video playlist widget.

With Docy v,4.0.0 we’re making sure the theme stays up-to-date with modern requirements, is easy to use, and works seamlessly for all your documentation and helpdesk needs. These new features and improvements are all about giving you more control, flexibility, and a better experience for both you and your users.
