Docy Theme 2.0.0 Update: EazyDocs Migration Guide

Theme Update Procedures

The Docy Documentation WordPress Theme 2.0.0 release brings a number of important improvements. To make the move as smooth as possible, I recommend following the steps below before and after updating.

Post-Update Configuration

To keep everything working the way you expect, several features that used to live in the theme settings have now moved into the EazyDocs plugin. After updating, take a few minutes to recheck your setup and reapply any custom options you were using before.

Re-create OnePage Documentation

OnePage documentation management has shifted to EazyDocs, which makes the setup a bit more straightforward. You no longer need to enter Doc IDs manually. Just go to EazyDocs OnePage Docs and click the “Add OnePage Doc” button to create your content.

Update Documentation Settings

Most documentation settings are now handled inside EazyDocs. You may need to recreate a few of your earlier settings, including the Conditional Dropdown located at EazyDocs Settings Single Doc Right Sidebar . Design options like colors, layout, and typography are now available under EazyDocs Customize .

Manage Search Banners

If you notice duplicate search banners on your single documentation pages, you can turn off the banner added by the plugin in EazyDocs Settings Single Doc Search Banner .

Configure Brand Colors

If you previously changed the brand color in the Docy theme settings, you’ll want to set that again in EazyDocs Settings General .
