Resolving Link Issues

Traditional link-fixing workflows require you to open a post editor, hunt down the specific anchor text, swap the URL, and save the post. Antimanual eliminates this manual overhead by providing 1-Click Direct Database Fixing actions directly inside your Link Health workspace.

Workspace Actions for Individual Links

Once a scan completes, all flagged dead URLs are displayed in an actionable report table under the Broken tab.

Under each identified broken URL, you can choose from four direct actions:

1. Update URL (Inline Edit)

Click the Update URL button to open an inline input field.

• Paste your replacement URL and click Save.
• Antimanual executes a highly targeted MySQL update on the post_content column in your wp_posts table instantly, replacing only the specific URL reference while preserving the post’s formatting and revision history.

2. Remove Link

If a linked resource no longer exists and you do not want to replace it, click Remove.

• This action removes the hyperlink anchor tags (<a></a>) cleanly from the post content.
• The raw anchor text remains untouched in the text block, preserving your sentence’s grammatical structure and readability.

3. Ignore (Whitelisting)

If an external target website is down temporarily or you know a link is correct, click Ignore.

• The URL will be whitelisted and skipped in all future scans.
• You can manage, review, and clear whitelisted URLs under the Ignored tab on the main dashboard.

4. Re-check

If you believe a link has been resolved or a server timeout was temporary, click Re-check to bypass the 6-hour cache transient and ping the URL immediately.

Bulk Database Updates

Fixing dozens of links individually can still be tedious. Antimanual ProMax supports bulk operations so you can process hundreds of link errors at once.

1. In the report table, tick the checkboxes next to the links you want to resolve, or click the header checkbox to select all visible issues.
2. In the bulk action bar that appears at the top, select your desired action:
   • Bulk Remove: Deletes all selected hyperlink tags from their respective posts in a single click, keeping anchor texts intact.
   • Bulk Update: Input a single target URL to replace all selected broken links globally.
3. Click Apply. The system will process each database transaction independently, collecting and reporting any errors gracefully without interrupting the rest of the batch.
