Accessing Authentication Settings

All authentication parameters are centralized within the plugin to simplify management. To configure these options, navigate to Changeloger > Settings > Authentication in your WordPress admin dashboard. These settings apply to the Feedback Manager and roadmap voting modules.

Available Authentication Methods

Changeloger supports multiple authentication workflows to balance accessibility with security:

• Standard WordPress Login: Utilizes existing WordPress user accounts for authenticated feedback submission.
• Email Signup: Automatically creates a WordPress user profile upon the first feedback submission, streamlining the onboarding process for new users.
• Google Login: Offers a frictionless experience by allowing users to authenticate via their existing Google credentials.

Configuring Security and Registration

You can fine-tune access control using the following toggle switches:

• Enable Email Signup: Enabling this allows new participants to register directly through the feedback submission modal, expanding your user base without manual intervention.
• Require Login for Feedback: This is a critical security toggle. When enabled, only authenticated users are permitted to submit new feedback or cast votes, which helps maintain higher-quality data and prevents spam.

Google Login Integration

For enhanced convenience, the Google Login feature can be activated by providing your OAuth credentials. Once you have generated the Client ID and Client Secret via the Google Cloud Console, paste these values into their respective fields in the Authentication settings menu and save your configuration.
