Roadmap Configuration

The Roadmap Builder in Changeloger provides a powerful way to visualize product development and keep stakeholders informed. Proper configuration of this module is essential for effectively managing your public-facing Kanban board.

Enabling the Roadmap Module

To begin utilizing the roadmap features, navigate to Changeloger > Settings > Roadmap and toggle Enable Roadmap Module to ON. Saving your settings activates the roadmap admin page, enables frontend Kanban board display, and unlocks item voting capabilities.

Managing Roadmap Items

Roadmap items are managed via a Kanban board structure. To add a new item, navigate to Changeloger > Roadmap and click the Add Item button at the bottom of any column. You can define titles, descriptions, and associate items with specific products. Items can be dragged and dropped between columns to instantly update their status.

Configuring Roadmap Columns

You can manage columns directly from the board. Rename columns by clicking the title, change colors via the adjacent swatch, or add new columns using the Add Board area. Deleting a column automatically reassigns its contents to the first remaining column, ensuring no data loss during reorganization.

Columns Per Row Settings

To control the layout density of your Kanban board, go to Changeloger > Settings > Roadmap and adjust the Columns Per Row value. You can set this between 1 and 8 (default is 4). This configuration applies to both the admin interface and the frontend Release Hub block.

Hiding Vote Counts

If you prefer to keep voting metrics internal, navigate to Changeloger > Settings > Roadmap and set Show Vote Count to OFF. This hides popularity indicators from public view, which is useful when tracking metrics that shouldn’t influence user perception or create unwanted popularity contests.

Disabling the Roadmap Display

If you need to perform internal-only roadmap management without a public announcement, simply toggle Enable Roadmap Module to OFF in the settings. Alternatively, you can remove the Release Hub block from your page or adjust the tab configuration to exclude the roadmap tab entirely.
