Log Subscription is a powerful Pro feature within Changeloger that enables your users to stay updated automatically whenever you release new product updates. By integrating this system, you can build an engaged community that receives timely notifications directly in their inboxes, fostering better retention and transparency.

How It Works

The system adds a convenient “Subscribe for Updates” button to your changelog interface. When users click this button, they are added to your mailing list. Depending on their authentication status, the flow is handled automatically:

• Logged-in users: Subscription is instantaneous with a single click, requiring no further verification.
• Logged-out users: The system opens a modal form where users enter their email address. A double opt-in confirmation email is then sent to verify the address.

Enabling Log Subscriptions

Before the widget becomes visible to your users, you must enable the underlying notification system. Please follow these steps:

• Navigate to Changeloger > Settings > Product Notification.
• Toggle Enable Email Notification to ON.
• Configure the From Name and Email Subject template. You may use {product} and {version} placeholders to personalize subject lines.

Note: The subscription widget is strictly tied to this setting. If Enable Email Notification is toggled off, the entire subscription header will be hidden on the frontend.

Subscription User Flow

The interface dynamically updates based on the user’s current subscription status:

• Not Subscribed: The button displays “Subscribe for Updates”.
• Subscribed (Logged-in): The button label changes to “Subscribed”. On hover, this turns into an “Unsubscribe” option for easy management.

AI Enhanced Email Integration

For an elevated experience, you can enable AI Enhanced Email. When active (and provided the Antimanual plugin is installed), the system uses artificial intelligence to generate professional, personalized content for your version notification emails, including subject lines, summaries, and compelling introductions based on the changes in your new release.
